Cheap and good accommodation in Mombasa is a bit difficult to find, but, however, there are a few options. The classical hostel (the cheapest accommodation option I know) is named YWCA and is located in Vanga Rd. Rooms are okay, and start from 6 to 10 $. useful hint: wherever you go, ask if rooms have mosquito nets.
