I took a tour through Shela village when I got the chance to visit a friend of mine from Lamu. It was an awesome experience. Shela lies on a 3km distance from the town and it has small whitewashed houses, an ancient mosque and one of its best deals- a 12km beach of white smooth sand moistened by the greenish blue water.
